Overview

ITD Ops Shipments is a modern, highly integrated tool tailored for the Operations team at Alameda County. This specialized system streamlines the processing of incoming technical equipment shipments, ensuring efficient distribution to the designated recipients. The Operations team is responsible for coordinating the receiving and distribution of any technical equipment that the department or the county organizations it supports would need, from server racks for the data center to laptops for social workers. This coordination involves the collaboration of multiple other teams, such a Procurement, Finance, and any other team that may ever need to order equipment. Before implementing this new system, the legacy process was largely manual and inefficient, resulting in significant time being spent to ensure accurate reporting. The new system introduces a formalized structure to the process, enabling not only seamless and effortless coordination but also opportunities for highly efficient integration with existing ITD solutions, all within the market-leading Salesforce platform.
