The ITD Store inventory management system is an advanced software solution designed to streamline how the Information Technology Department Client Services team manages the intake and distribution of physical equipment for all supported county agencies and departments, providing significant improvement over legacy processes.

1.1 Streamlined Record List View and Creation

ITD Store is a Salesforce application that offers a streamlined user-friendly interfaces for viewing and creating inventory records. This is a major enhancement over historical Excel-based records by enforcing standardizations on record creation, which allows for consistent viewing and reporting.

1.2 Inventory-Transaction Record Links

This feature enforces the linking of inventory and transaction records, ensuring all transactions can be tracked to a specific inventory record. This allows for consistent item type classification when creating transaction records.

1.3 Automated Inventory Updates

Quantity tracking had historically been a painstaking process in the legacy system; by utilizing Salesforce Flow automations the new system enables transaction records to automatically add/deduct totals to and from inventory records in order to accurately and seamlessly manage item totals.

1.4 Customizable Dashboard Reporting

The new system implements a dashboard with customizable reports, allow users to view relevant, realtime data at-a-glance. These reports can be built utilizing the Salesforce Report Builder tool, enabling reports to be built quickly and easily.

1.5 Item Retirement Tracking

A module for reliably tracking items that are ready to be retired and e-recycled has been added to the new system. This system tracked such retired items and ensured they were not added back to inventory totals.
